Maha’s Restaurant, 224-226 Greenwood Avenue, Toronto ON is Toronto’s bustling Egyptian café celebrated for its warm hospitality, vibrant atmosphere, and unforgettable flavours. We are urgently seeking a CAFÉ SUPERVISOR to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in ensuring seamless service and an exceptional guest experience rooted in authentic Egyptian culture.
Job Duties
· Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations to maintain efficiency and service excellence.
· Schedule shifts, monitor performance, & foster a positive, inclusive work environment that welcomes Maha’s welcoming culture.
· Estimate food requirements and maintain accurate stock levels of supplies.
· Coordinate timely orders with vendors and distributors to ensure smooth operations
· Address & resolve customer concerns promptly while upholding high service standards.
· Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
· Train staff in sanitation, safety, and health regulation compliance.
· Oversee portion control and preparation practices to reduce waste and optimize costs.
· Ensure all food and service meet Maha’s established quality control standards.
Wage: $36.15/hour per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week.
Experience & Skills:
· 1-2 years of experience
· Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
· Strong leadership with an ability to foster a positive, inclusive team culture
· A warm, people-focused approach that aligns with Maha’s culture of hospitality Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Overtime: 1.5 times the wage after 44 hours per week.
Qualifications: Completion of secondary school. College program in food service administration/hotel and restaurant management will be an asset.
