Chef De Partie – Pasta
We are looking for a well-experienced Chef De Partie – Pasta to work for L-eat Catering located at 3829 Bathurst St, North York, ON M3H 3N1, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and direct the preparation and cooking of pasta dishes for catering events, ensuring consistency with menu specifications and culinary standards.
- Design and standardize pasta recipes, sauces, and accompaniments, including fresh handmade pasta (e.g., ravioli, gnocchi, tagliatelle), in line with Italian culinary techniques.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff assigned to the pasta section to ensure efficient workflow during high-volume service.
- Ensure quality control of all pasta dishes, including taste, portioning, and presentation, to meet company and client expectations.
- Modify and adapt pasta menus based on client requirements, dietary restrictions, and event specifications in collaboration with senior kitchen management.
- Maintain inventory control for the pasta section, including requisitioning specialty ingredients and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in advanced pasta preparation techniques, including dough preparation, shaping, and sauce development.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operating standards, and oversee cleanliness and organization of the pasta station.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or above in the Food Industry.
Language: English
Preferred: Certificate Course in Hotel Management
Hourly Rate: $36 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
