We are looking for well experienced Cooks for “The Royal Hotel” located at 247 Main Street Picton, Ontario K0K 2T0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

Prepare authentic Italian dishes, including pasta, risotto, pizza, seafood, meat, vegetarian dishes, sauces, and appetizers.
Operate Italian kitchen equipment such as pizza ovens, pasta cookers, grills, ovens, mixers, and slicers.
Prepare sauces, stocks, marinades, dressings, pasta dough, pizza dough, and seasoning blends from scratch.
Manage food preparation during dine-in, takeout, delivery, banquet, and catering services.
Check cooking temperatures, food quality, portions, and plating to maintain consistent standards.
Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, cheeses, herbs, and Italian ingredients by roasting, grilling, baking, sautéing, and braising.
Cook Italian items such as handmade pasta, gnocchi, lasagna, risotto, pizza, bruschetta, soups, salads, veal, chicken, seafood, and desserts.
Assist with seasonal menus, daily specials, regional Italian dishes, and chef recommendations.
Monitor inventory of produce, herbs, cheeses, meats, seafood, pasta, flour, sauces, oils, and imported Italian ingredients.
Guide kitchen helpers and junior cooks on Italian cooking methods, preparation, cleanliness, and food safety.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience in hotel/motel/resort

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $ 23 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
