Purchasing Supervisor
We are looking for a well experienced Purchasing Supervisor for “Cheese Boutique” located at 45 Ripley Ave, Toronto, ON M6S 3P2, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the procurement of fresh flowers, seasonal plants, floral accessories, and related supplies for retail displays, gift baskets, catering, and special events.
- Source and coordinate with approved domestic and international floral suppliers to obtain premium-quality products, ensuring compliance with quality, freshness, pricing, and delivery standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of perishable floral products, forecast purchasing requirements based on seasonal demand and sales trends, and oversee stock rotation to minimize spoilage and waste.
- Inspect incoming floral shipments for quality, freshness, quantity, and compliance with purchase specifications, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers as required.
- Prepare, review, and maintain purchase orders, receiving records, inventory reports, and other procurement documentation to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Supervise and provide guidance to purchasing and inventory support staff, assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to established purchasing procedures.
- Collaborate with the retail, merchandising, catering, and gift basket teams to plan floral purchasing requirements for seasonal promotions, corporate events, and customer orders.
- Monitor supplier performance and purchasing processes, recommending improvements to enhance product availability, cost efficiency, and the timely procurement of high-quality floral products.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in retail supervisory role
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $37 to $38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
