Flourist is a popular Mill + Bakery located in East Vancouver. We are a community hub centred around the ancient practice of flour milling. We bake using freshly milled flour exclusively using organically grown, Canadian grains.
*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled Baker with mixing experience to join our team in baking our sourdough bread and pastries.
*Duties:*
– Mix and prepare dough for various baked goods, such as bread and pastries
– Bake products according to recipes and established baking procedures
– Monitor oven temperatures and adjust settings as needed
– Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
– Clean and maintain baking equipment and work area
*Experience:*
– Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar role preferred
– Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
*Skills:*
– Excellent baking skills with the ability to produce high-quality products consistently
– Proficient in using kitchen equipment such as mixers and ovens
– Knowledge of sourdough bread and the process
– Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt them as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
