*Maple Bay Marina* is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team! We are located on beautiful waterfront property in the Cowichan Valley, near the town of Duncan on Vancouver Island. The marina has a long history of providing moorage and boating related services in the region since 1945. In this vital role as Bookkeeper, you will manage the company?s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all bookkeeping functions. Your expertise will help maintain smooth financial operations of the company.
*Responsibilities:*
* Core Financial Recording and Reporting
* Payroll, T4, ROE and Employee Benefits Management
* Generate timely invoices, process receivables and collections
* Record accounts payable and arrange payment schedules
* Review and record department daily cash-outs
* Bank and credit card reconciliation
* Bank deposits
* Government compliance tax filing and payments
* WorkSafe reporting
*Requirements:*
* Experience as a bookkeeper or with accounting
* Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
* Experience with Pure Retail
* Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, with strong Excel skills
* Payroll experience
* Accounts receivable and payable knowledge
* Strong organization skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
*Qualifications:*
* Bookkeeping degree or diploma, or equivalent experience. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is critical. Wage determined on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
