Job Description

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to work at our farm located near Moosomin, SK. Our busy operation includes livestock (cow-calve operation and backgrounding calves) and grain farming. Skills Required: Experience in the safe handling of cattle, including bulls and calving cows Experience with operating medium to large size farm equipment Must be mechanically inclined, ability to carry out maintenance and repairs of the farm equipment is necessary Physical fitness to be able to lift-up to 100lbs to feed the cattle Class 5 drivers license or equivalent required to drive equipment and get around (isolated area)Responsibilities: Feed and tend to livestock Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Remove cattle with low stress techniques Detect disease and health problems in livestock Follow bio-security procedures Examine cattle for quality and prepare for market Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Assist with shipping, processing and other cattle duties Maintain, repair and clean buildings Maintain roads and farmyards Keep records as directed Perform general farm duties as assigned by Farm Manager or Owner.
