<p>Job Title: Maintenance Worker – Part Time Department: Maintenance Services FTE: &#160;0.4 Location: Morgan Creek &#160; Seniors Community Salary Range: &#160; $28 – 35 /hr If you&#8217;re a caring individual and passionate about making a difference in the lives of the seniors we serve, then JOIN US and become part of our Team!</p><p>Under the direction of the Site Leader and the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the building and grounds.</p><p>The responsibility of the position includes but not limited to: Ensuring that all required checks are executed, promptly logged and documented.</p><p>Maintaining the building in a safe and operable condition.</p><p>Maintaining the building envelope and overseeing the grounds.</p><p>Executing on work orders, preventative maintenance using the Maintenance Care computer program.</p><p>Painting of vacant suites and touch ups in common areas.</p><p>Prioritizing items needing attention and repair.</p><p>Performing all routine, scheduled and emergency building maintenance.</p><p>Supporting the fire safety program for the home.</p><p>Ensuring in the winter that sidewalks, patios and all exit areas are clear of ice and snow; shoveling/sanding and salting as required.</p><p>Available to work Monday to Friday or as scheduled by the Site Leader Qualifications &amp; Experiences: High School graduate and/or minimum 2 years relevant experience is encouraged equivalences may be considered Skills &amp; Abilities: Effective verbal and written English communication, organization and interpersonal skills is required.</p><p>Ability to operate related equipment.</p><p>Extensive knowledge of building and fire codes, as they pertain to continuing care Homes.</p><p>Ability to work in teams collaboratively and communicate with others in a respectful manner.</p><p>Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position Ability to read and interpret building drawings and codes is preferred.</p><p>Computer skills including working knowledge of MS office.</p><p>Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.</p><p>All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check WHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety Certifications are assets.</p><p>The successful applicant’s wage will be based on relevant qualifications, training/education and experience.</p><p>We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.</li><li>&#160; Powered by JazzHR</p>
