Job Description
On-site school custodian position. Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls and ceilings; make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs; contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment; perform minor repairs on appliances; perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies; perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair; water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; work with minimal supervision; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.

Requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Family and consumer sciences/home economics teacher education
- Technology teacher education/industrial arts teacher education
- Engineering technologies and engineering-related fields, other
- Electrician
- Graphic design
- 5 years or more of experience
- English
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
