Experience : 2 years’ experience required
Duties
· Read construction drawings and work instructions to determine the type, quantity, and location of insulation required for each project.
· Measure work areas and accurately cut insulation materials to the required sizes.
· Install insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, attics, and other building areas using suitable installation methods such as fastening, taping, spraying, blowing, or adhesive application to ensure proper coverage and performance.
· Carefully fit insulation around pipes, ducts, electrical wiring, framing, and other obstructions to achieve a complete and effective installation.
· Install vapour barriers and moisture protection systems to improve energy efficiency and help prevent moisture penetration and condensation.
· Apply waterproofing or protective coatings over insulated surfaces where required by the project specifications.
· Remove and replace existing insulation materials, including asbestos or urea-formaldehyde insulation where legally permitted and in accordance with all applicable safety regulations, company procedures, and environmental requirements.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all workplace health and safety procedures, and perform other insulation-related duties assigned by the Site Supervisor.
