(Automotive service technician)
We are looking for a well experienced Automotive Service Technician for our company Go Auto located at 14703 137 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5L 2L5, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review repair orders and perform diagnostics on Volkswagen vehicles in accordance with manufacturer-approved procedures and dealership service standards.
- Inspect vehicles in operation and conduct road tests to assess drivability, performance concerns, and identify mechanical or electronic faults specific to Volkswagen systems.
- Utilize Volkswagen ODIS diagnostic software and computerized testing equipment to accurately diagnose issues within engine management, DSG transmissions, electrical systems, and onboard control modules.
- Repair or replace components of fuel systems, braking systems, steering, suspension, drivetrains, and emission control systems following Volkswagen repair specifications.
- Service and repair Volkswagen electrical and electronic systems, including infotainment units, CAN bus networks, sensors, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- Perform scheduled Volkswagen maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, fluid services, software updates, and comprehensive multi-point inspections.
- Complete warranty repairs, recalls, and technical service bulletin (TSB) procedures in accordance with Volkswagen Canada requirements and documentation standards.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure compliance with Volkswagen performance, safety, and emissions standards.
- Interpret Volkswagen technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and digital service documentation to support accurate diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Document diagnostic findings, labour performed, and parts utilized within the dealership’s service management system in line with Volkswagen reporting and warranty guidelines.
- May perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Prerequisites:
Education: Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more or equivalent experience in the relevant field.
Language: English
Additional Requirement: Journeyman certificate in Automotive Service Technician or other relevant Trade’s Certificate equivalent.
Hourly Rate: $40 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
