Job Description

The Headhunters Recruitment GP Inc. is a Canadian employment service agency providing recruitment, employment advisory, and career development services to job seekers and employer clients. The company works with organizations across Canada to support recruitment activities, workforce planning, and hiring decisions, while also assisting job seekers with employment readiness and career planning.

The Headhunters Recruitment GP Inc. has vacancies for x5 full time and permanent Career Development Practitioners. These are in‑house positions available at our Edmonton, Alberta location. The role involves working directly with employer clients and job seekers to deliver recruitment services and employment advisory support.

The candidate must be willing to travel to meet clients in person. Remote work is not available for this role.

A Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) accreditation, or similar, would be preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess need for assistance, such as rehabilitation, financial aid or further training
  • Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job‑readiness skills, job search strategies, résumé writing and interview preparation
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Advise employers on human resources and other employment‑related issues
  • Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements, and other occupational information
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Provide established workers with information and strategies for dealing with job dissatisfaction, making mid‑career changes, and adjusting to workplace transitions
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
  • Liaise with community agencies or partners, identify additional or alternative services, and provide referrals
  • Conduct research
  • Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Deliver sales presentations
  • Participate in recruitment events

Working Hours

  • 8 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week

Wages & Overtime

  • $37 per hour

·        Overtime will be paid at $55.50 per hour after 44 hours per week.

Education:

Ø  Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or demonstrate equivalent work experience in a related field.

Acceptable areas of study include:

·       Business administration and management (general)

·       Human resources management/personnel administration (general)

  • 5 years or more experience
