Chef
We are looking for a well experienced Chef for a well-known restaurant “Habaneros Modern Taco Bar” located at 600 Windmill Rd, Dartmouth, NS, B3B 1B5, Canada. However, you will be required to work at various locations across the Halifax Region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily kitchen operations while preparing high-quality meals using fresh ingredients and Chef Inspired’s original recipes and culinary standards.
- Develop and update seasonal menus and daily features, ensuring consistency, creativity, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company’s chef-inspired dining philosophy.
- Prepare and oversee the production of house-made sauces, marinades, dressings, pickles, proteins, and other menu components using scratch cooking techniques.
- Supervise, train, and mentor cooks and other kitchen staff in food preparation methods, portion control, presentation standards, and safe food handling practices.
- Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency throughout service to ensure an exceptional guest dining experience.
- Estimate food requirements, maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize food waste while controlling food and labour costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Coordinate with management to accommodate seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, dietary requirements, and special events while maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $19 to $20 per Hour for 30 to 44 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
