Chef De Partie – Banquet
We are looking for a well experienced Chef De Partie – Banquet for Cleese Catering located at 11 Carlaw Ave suite 14 Toronto, ON M4M 2R6, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items for banquet and catered events, including large-scale production of appetizers, main courses, and accompaniments, ensuring consistency in quality and portioning.
- Oversee a designated kitchen section during banquet preparation and service, coordinating workflow to meet strict event timelines and service schedules.
- Execute high-volume batch cooking and advance preparation for buffet and plated service, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established recipes.
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of customized banquet menus, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes, following specific client and event requirements.
- Ensure proper food presentation and plating standards for banquet service, including buffet arrangements and plated meal execution in line with event specifications.
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff within the assigned section, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including safe handling, storage, and temperature control of food products during high-volume operations.
- Monitor inventory levels for the assigned section and assist in requisitioning ingredients, supporting efficient stock usage and minimizing waste during banquet production.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years or more
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
