<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Our Plumbing Company, located in South Etobicoke, is looking for an organized and reliable person to join our office team to <strong><strong>ISSUE PLUMBING ESTIMATES.</strong></strong></p><p>This is <strong>I<strong>N-OFFICE, SUBCONTRACTOR </strong></strong>Position (not Pay-roll)</p><p><strong><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Prepare estimates using information provided by our plumbers, office team, customers, suppliers, AI tools, etc</li><li>Review photos, notes, and work orders to determine the scope of work, materials, labour requirements, if any additional information is required, ask clear and specific follow-up questions when required</li><li>Verify if special requirements such as City water shut down, Building shut down, permits are required.</li><li>Communicate with customers and property management to verify job details, clarify the scope of work, and obtain any missing information. Keep proper notes.</li><li>Determine whether additional requirements are needed, such as city shutdowns, permits, additional technicians, equipment, or other resources required to complete the work.</li><li>Request pricing from suppliers when required. Keep track of repeated materials and pricing, and create own database, keep track of projects / estimates.</li><li>Identify when additional information is needed before an estimate can be completed.</li></ul><p>• Review existing estimates and use them as a reference when preparing similar quotations.</p><ul><li>Collaborate with our technicians and office staff to ensure estimates are accurate and complete.</li><li>Prepare clear, professional estimate descriptions and supporting documentation.</li><li>Occasionally visit job sites to verify the scope of work, gather additional information, and confirm project details before preparing an estimate.</li><li>Collaborate with Dispatch and Accounting team, keep track in dispatch software.</li></ul><p><strong><strong>Requirements:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Background, experience, or education in plumbing, construction, mechanical trades, or a related field <strong><strong>required</strong></strong>.</li><li>Familiarity with Condominiums structure is an asset</li><li>Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to job sites when required.</li><li>Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.</li><li>Good written and spoken English and accurate typing skills.</li><li>Comfortable using AI tools to assist with preparing estimates and documents.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to read and understand photos, technical information, and basic plumbing terminology.</li><li>NOTE: pay rate can / will be discussed and re-evaluated based on skills, performance and input.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The estimator must understand that a complete estimate may require more than simply listing materials and labour – or at least be willing to learn.
