*SUMMARY:*
Managed by Atlific Hotels, the full-service, upscale Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour overlooks Victoria’s vibrant and dynamic downtown, located just steps from world class attractions, shopping, venues, and dining. With 236 elegantly appointed rooms and 5,000 square feet of meeting space, this hotel is committed to providing exceptional and personalized customer experiences that set new standards for modern hospitality.
The Guest Services Team demonstrates a daily commitment to excellence by providing professional and memorable experiences that put people first. The successful candidate for this role must be available for a wide variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
*Responsibilities:*
* Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
* Assist with the check-in/check-out process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
* Handle special requests and accommodations to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
* Process payments and ensure proper billing procedures.
* Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
* Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
* Handle guest feedback and follow up to resolve any issues.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
* Previous hotel experience in a similar position is an asset.
* Commitment to superior customer service.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to practice and maintain consistent key standards.
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, group booking systems, internet, email.
* Sales and up-selling skills an asset.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Victoria/Vancouver and surrounding areas.
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
* Able to stand for extended periods of time.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Flexible schedule with the ability to work a range of hours including evenings and weekends.
