Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Interior Finish Carpenter to perform high-quality finishing work on residential and/or commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for precise installation of interior components, ensuring all work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
Main Duties
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
- Repair or replace interior components
- Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or mangers
- Utilize hand and power tools
Employment Requirements
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or minimum 5 years of related work experience
- Experience in interior finishing carpentry (residential or commercial)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical ability to handle tools, materials, and perform manual work

- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Standing for extended periods
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Handling heavy loads
- Physically demanding
