Job Description
pipelayer position. Load, unload and transport construction materials; read blueprints to determine work requirements; erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades; assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction; perform routine maintenance work; remove rubble and other debris at construction sites; signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints; assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck; shovel cement and other materials into cement mixers, spread concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes and hand tampers.
