Job Description
Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Clear fields of wood and stones. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market. Handling animals. Mixing fertilizer. Monitoring animal health. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Weeding. Harvest crops. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops.
