Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Clean and prepare surfaces, sweep, and remove debris or old roofing materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials such as shingles, tiles, and tar to work areas.
- Safety Setup: Erect scaffolding, ladders, and hoist systems.
- Assisting Roofers: Pass tools and materials to roofers, mix materials, and help apply roofing materials (e.g., asphalt, shingles, tar).
- Tool Operation: Operate equipment such as pneumatic nailers, hammers, and saws.
- Roof Maintenance: Clear gutters, drains, and perform basic repairs.
Physical Requirements and Conditions:
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
- Capable of heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs).
- Working in various weather conditions, including heat, wind, and cold.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
